![]() ![]() I'm not overly passionate about RGB shit but if it's going to be included, at least have some sort of basic API that is easy for third party clients to hook into and take over. I can't imagine that these softwares are actually a selling point for anyone, and I know that for myself the awful implementation means that I'm going to deliberately avoid Corsair and Asus products in the future. How about instead the motherboard/case/cooler manufacturers get together and make some open standard that they all support going forward?Įvery piece of proprietary manufacturer software I've ever used has ranged from barely functional (Corsair Link) to gaudy and resource intensive (EVGA Precision) to outright broken and impossible to get rid of (Asus Aura). ![]() This is a massive step in unifying the RGB ecosystem as with this it is possible to make a system where all the RGB can be controlled by one software with the exception of GPU lighting at this point. As part of this reveal, we will start the beta so you can get your hands on early access to start playing with the feature.” This means that Aura Sync compatible motherboards will now appear in iCUE and allow all of their zones of lighting to be configurable together with your other iCUE-support devices. “ As you saw from our CES 2020 announcement, we are now in a partnership to allow for their motherboard RGB lighting zones to be integrated in iCUE. (see links in Corsair forum post)Īs a quote from the Corsair forum (see link 1) ![]() Though it’s currently in beta and only supported on certain motherboards. (ARGB not currently supported but planned apparently) ![]() So something missed by seemingly everyone at CES 2020 was that Corsair apparently announced that they are working with ASUS to allow for Corsair iCue to control the motherboard RGB lighting including RGB strips connected to the motherboard. Īny asus arora past 1.06.7 after installing fails to load. Ugh i cant get them to work together now. Might can try a registry cleaner like CCleaner or Revouninstaller as well. Or just using Armoury Carte and the plugin. Some have reported not having to use the Aura sync at all and just using the plugin. Just installed it i have corsair k95 key board / crsair night sword mouse / asus z370 baord / arora sync fans all controlled with corsair i cue As I noted it doesn't control my G.Skill ram and neither does G.Skill's software.Īsus mother baords that have arora sync can now be controlled with " corsair icue " no need to run arora sync and icue ! Or you can install the Ram manufacturer's software and hope it works. You have to have Aura Sync Or Armoury Crate to control the ram unless it is Corsair's brand. As I always noted we need one software to control all RGB lighting. It can only get better from this point on out. I really appreciate Asus listening to all our complaints and asking them to let Corsair fix their software. Hopefully, they will add more support for more peripherals as well from other companies and more boards later on. Ram is not working unless you have Corsair's ram. Install it and you can now control all the board lighting. Head over to Corsair's forum and grab the Asus plugin for it. Simply install the latest Aura Sync but don't run it.
